I dug out an old tape from 96 yesterday that had a load of stuff from Mark Radcliffe and John Peel shows on (hey who didn't do it, I bought the one's I liked, honest) and there's some cracking stuff on it, like...
Emperor Julian - Ghost of Icons Love the bass in this.
and Secret Goldfish - Venus BondingHighly recommend the album this is from, but it's worth the version off my tape for the top quality Lard comedy at the beginning :-)
Ohh Yesss!!
I used to love Mark and Lard, the used to have Mark Lamaar in on a Tuesday night and just rip the piss out of each other, quality stuff

I had mates years ago who were bang into Gong, could never take it myself, though Radio Gnome(?) was ok. |

Yeah I'd a few mates who used to partake of the odd "herbal" cigarette, were well into Gong. Camambert Electrique was my favourite, but I found them a bit to self absorbed and repetitave after a bit.
