Apparently Gordon Brown has already been out to congraulate the Glasgow Labour representative on his Sterling effort in bringing the games to Glasgow. And not a peep on big Alex Salmond for pushing the bid so well.
Anyway, great news. Will hopefully be a great showcase for Glasgow. And apparently yet another section of the Clyde waterfront will be rejuvinated. Also good news for the city. Delighted. |

Congratulations!
I was, however, P.O. by the BBC, as they ONCE AGAIN used the expression "won the race for the bid to host". If it wee a race, then those who finished first would win, whereas, in this situation, those who end first are those who got kicked out. A competition: yes. A tournement: yes. A race: no.
But again, congratulations. No doubt well deserved!
