| Why do you participate in Olympic Games as United Kingdom, but in others competitions (like Rugby or Football World Cup) you do as England, Scotland, Wales and North Ireland? |

Because the English need the other nations for the Olympics. For football and cricket and rugby, they are happy losing on their own.
The olymipics unites the country.... in losing.
