Re: 9:30 Club -- it's in a desolate area in D.C. and it's small. I've seen the band twice there and they're always AMAZING shows. The energy is always so good. Best thing to do is to drive there and park your car on the street; there are plenty of spaces 'round there!

Amandabug: we will be flying in to DC. What do you think about walking around the 9:30 Club area? Any suggestions?

my friend just bought tickets--they are available for presale on the HOB website...you have to register. too bad though, they're not discounted. (what's the point of presale? i guess you just get tickets a little earlier!)

It's gonna be at HOB, I got the same one, but I'm going to the one in Austin

I love how there's only one Canadian date..and it's in Toronto. I don't know if I should be happy cuz they're coming and I can see them here, or sad cuz there's only one Canadian stop.

um, don't.
it's not the safest of nabes, although i never ran into trouble there, but there is nothing in the area except for broken down houses/storefronts and a diner a few blocks away. in fact, even the most diehard of fans who see shows there don't show up until an hour or two before doors open. i suggested the car thing because people usually will park nearby and keep things to do in the car (or put away cards or chairs or whatever). if you're flying in, your time is better wasted sightseeing a little before the show.

Is anyone familiar with the 9:30 Club in DC, and why I can't find where to buy tickets for the July 16 show?

I'm a little late, but I got my tickets for the 9:30 via tickets.com, the site 9:30 club usually uses for their soft sales--I just checked and they're still available.

Travis -- PLEASE consider adding some U.S. west coast dates! Saw your show at the Warfield in SF a few years ago and it was honestly one of the best I've ever been to. We are crushed that you're not coming out here; please reconsider!

I'm very disappointed to notice that you aren't even coming in Montreal once again...It's been five years since you last played here :( It's kind of sad.

You're playing in TO, NYC so why not Montreal?

Mtl miss you, guys!

Has the opening act been announced? I haven't seen it anywhere and curious who opens (especially in Philly!)
