As I told you, no one ever talked of any vigilance on the kids that night!Actually it is said that was offered a baby-sitter to the McCanns but they didn't want any!

Joana,

Maybe I wasn't quite clear, sorry. And again this is cos I've experienced a holiday with MW, I can say that it's standard practise that all families get the "patrol" service. Private babysitting is an extra, and comes at a cost. As I understand it, they declined the extra, but literally every family, by dint of being there, had the patrolling service. Again from experience, very few families took up the offer of private babysitting.

The only way that they may not have had the patrol is if the restaurant they went to wasn't a MW designated one. In which case, it's a completely different story.

yes I undersand, you use MW very often!(It's not very known by the portuguese tourists I guess!)
well...I don't know if the hotel has it...it was never mentioned, at least I never heard about it.

The apartment issue was never clear, at some point it was said that the window of the room was open, then it was said that it was close, it is said that the lock of the door was never broken...there are so many versions that we dont really know...

Ha ha I wish! It's expensive, and was a once-only treat when my girlies were younger.

But I know what I know about the set-up. The one I went to was in Greece, and I met people who had travelled many times with MW before. The childcare is a standardised operation from resort to resort.
