ROME (AP) - Luciano Pavarotti's health has deteriorated and the tenor was in very serious condition, suffering kidney problems and losing consciousness, a local Italian television station reported.
Television station E' TV Antenna-1 in Modena reported Wednesday that the 71-year-old tenor, who has pancreatic cancer, had lost consciousness and was suffering from kidney problems at the Modena home where he has been recovering following a two-week hospital stay.
:( I heard about this on the radio on my drive home today. I actually got the rare opportunity (thanks to my opera singer boyfriend who got $500 tickets for free!) to see Pavarotti in concert. He's amazing. I don't care what kind of music you like...that voice will touch you. Hope he makes it through. |
