maybe the cat enjoys the heat generated by them, and he might have a cold so his owner is being extra nice to him.

I remember you posting this on the pets thread. It's funny and cute and obvious that, while slightly odd, there is a theme and a point. Alarm clocks, on the other hand. Actually....
