What do people think to Travis playing smaller gig venues the last 2 tours? I hope it isn't due to their popularity fading :(

Anything that means less SECC barn and more Barrowlands/ABC can only be good in my book

Yeah I admit I love the smaller venues too. But the Birmingham gig tomorrow isn't even sold out as far as I know, and they used to fill arenas!

Could be down to anything, not just lack of popularity. Might just have been not very well advertised. I mean, i never saw the Glasgow gig advertised anywhere except the e-list/myspace

I don't think any of the English dates have sold out but every one of the Scottish ones did within a few days of them going on sale.

Conclusion? England sucks ;)

on the Travis Section.

hmmm, does that mean we come on here to talk to each other rather than talk about Travis... Or does it mean our liking for each other outweighs our liking for Travis. Or that we're more interested in non-Travis stuff than Travis stuff ???

Yeah, I don't think the Plymouth gig on Saturday is sold out, and that's really not that big...
It's good though, cos you get a better view!

*snort*

I don't think we should worry. They seem happy to play us songs for the mean time, so enjoy it.

i think it's great, you feel more intimate with the band, when i saw them at Grimsby last week i couldn't believe how close we were to them! i thought that them playing smaller venues might be cos of the fading popularity thing, but i don't care about that anymore!

I actually prefer the smaller venues, it's more intimate that way, between the band and the fans. Don't cha think?
