Travis are currently in the studio in Norway, beginning work on their seventh studio album with producer Michael Ilbert.
Fran has documented the first day at the studio in a blog in the band section of Travisonline with some photos from the studio.

A new Travis album!
Great to see you guys back in a studio together - I love reading studio diaries and picturing the creative process, so thank you to FH for that - I look forward to the next instalment.
Any hints as to the feel of the new album - or is that something that develops as recording progresses?

I don't think so--it sounds like they wrote a new song and the working title is "Mother" as Fran said it's not about any one's mother. |
