I have noticed a few differences mostly the "U"
Color - Colour
Favorite - Favourite
Is Thru accepted as opposed to Through as Eddie Izzard claims ?
There is also Program vs Programme, Programme is used in the UK unless referring to Computers.
Are there others that you guys find peculiar.

I've noticed UK using burnt and dreamt, where we spell them burned and dreamed (even though people usually pronounce it dreamt). |

I don't think I've ever spelled/spelt (there's another one!) 'catalog' without the 'e' at the end. 'Thru' isn't proper, but I see it all the time. |

Canadian is a mix of US and British. We firmly believe in U's and more -re uses, but also use a lot of z's where Brits use s's. But we call them zeds not zees. Oh this is complicated! |

I never even thought of letters...
H - "h'aitch" or "aitch"
J - "jay" or "jai"
Z - "zed" or "zee"
If you ask an Irish person to spell something with an "A" in it they spell the rest in capitals but the A as in little "a" or "ah", (as opposed to "Eh").
Mind you Dublin people also tell you "I do be shopping like mad" instead of "I am shopping like mad" or that they know someone who was "drowneded in the canal"

I'm confused on this one. Brits say h'aitch? (hey-tch?). and I'm not sure what jai is. Do american's say something other than "jay" and i've never noticed? |

No "jay" is deffo J in the States, in Scotland it is "Jai"="Jeye" like "I"="eye"
