I really like this one, along with a lot of the ones already mentioned. I also think that "Peace the fuck out" is a great wordplay!

It's def not a print error, although i'm not sure what the story is!

All the lines mentioned are amazing! I'm sure I have millions of faves.
Indefinitely has beautiful lyrics, and the line already mentioned from Luv makes my heart do a little flip flop!

Something to do with Fran's tee pee in his back garden

I don't really like that Battleships lyric. It's a bit wimpy. Proper heroes don't get wounded - only damsels in distress need rescuing. http://i183.photobucket.com/albums/x66/Jearoon2/Smilies/10-Tongue.gif

I like that one as well. It's "night's coal face" though btw. =P

The indefinitely one is probably amongst their best, as has already been mentioned. And I love all the lyrics in Selfish Jean.

I really like "But then this bird just flew away, she was never meant to stay. Oh to keep her caged could just delay the spring". In fact most of The Invisible Band's lyrics are particularly good.

And "20" has great lyrics as well.

There are two:

"Time exists, but just on your wrists- so don't panic. Moments last, and lifetimes are lost in a day. So wind your watches down, please. Cos there is no time to lose..."

or

"I wish that i, could fly fly fly away. And if i should fall, and you hear me call would you stay?"

Then again, every line of More Than Us is perfect :)

Some of my favourite lines:

"The world is a small child in the dark"

and

"When I was young things didn't last. My only care stemed to the price of sweets. Now I am older I can laugh. A dolly mixed up man with rotten teath and I feel Safe.

Both from Safe.

"I had a preminition. a movie in my mind. Confirming my suspition of what I would find"

Humpty Dumpty Love Song

Both great songs.

Oh, gosh...there are so many lines from Travis songs that I love!! Fran is an amazing songwriter. I have a few from each album that come to mind :O) Sorry if my list is kinda long! lol.

From "The Fear":
"Hottest summer in a hundred years, but summer didn't bother gettin' up this morning. And so all the trees forgot to wake, but they were dropping all their leaves on the ground below them."

From "As You Are":
"And ever since a long time I felt the rain and there was no danger and no more strangers."

From "Turn":
"We'll never know unless we grow, there's so much world outside the door."

From "The Humpty Dumpty Love Song":
"'Cos all I need is you, I just need you, yeah you got the glue, so I'm gonna give my heart to you."

From "3 Times and You Lose":
"And I thought I saw you, but it was just another face. Plastered on a blank horizon, running in the human race."

From "Battleships":
"When will you carry me home like the wounded star in a movie? When will you carry me home? Take it back to the start when you knew me."

From "Out In Space":
"We're just words in the sand at high tide."

I heard that as bastard on a blank horizon the first few times I heard it.

from: The Line Is Fine
Staring at the faces
Standing in a row
Think of all the places they have yet to go
They don't know

from: Good Feeling
You picked a time, a very fine time
To look at me, you'd see that I was fine
You're happy too, just towing on your line
But you're afraid of what you'll find behind
In twenty years from now I'll be the same
And you'll be changing all the letters
In your maiden name
Oh you're thinking that we're one
We'll never be the same

from: More Than Us
I wish that I
Could fly, fly, fly away
And if I should fall
And you hear me call
Would you stay

from: Writing To Reach You
I'm writing to reach you
But I might never reach you
I long to teach you about you
But that's not you

from: As You Are
And ever since a long time
I felt the rain
And there was no danger
And no more strangers
As you are

from: Driftwood
Home is where the heart is
But your heart had to roam
Drifting over bridges
Never to return
Watching bridges burn

from: Turn
I want to see what people saw
I want to feel like I felt before
I want to see the kingdom come
I want to feel forever young
...and
I want to sing
To sing my song
I want to live in a world where I'll be strong
I want to live
I will survive
And I believe that it won't be very long
... and
We'll never know
Unless we grow
There's so much world
Outside the door
(great song!)

from: Coming Around
So far away I wanna be
That's not as close to you and me
The things they call our destiny
Now why do you have to pick on me at all?
My walls are coming down

from: Side
We all try hard to live our lives in harmony
For fear of falling swiftly overboard
But life is both a major and minor key
Just open up the chord

from: Pipe Dreams
I'd pray to God if there was heaven
But heaven seems so very far from here

from: The Cage
There's nothing left here 'cos you took the lot
An empty cage is all I've got
...and
'Cos when your bird has flown away
She was never meant to stay
Oh to keep her caged would just delay the spring

from: Indefinitely
Time exists but just on your wrist so don't panic
Moments lasts and lifetimes are lost in a day
So wind your watches down please
'Cos there is no time to lose
(everybody love this line :))

from: The Humpty Dumpty Love Song
I had a premonition
A movie in my mind
Confirming my suspicions of what I would find

from: Love Will Come Through
love will come through
It's just waiting for you

from: Happy To Hang Around
And I'll never get into your heart
Though I don't even want to start
I'll never get into your heart
I'm just happy to hang around

the boy with no name includes wonderful songs too, but these songs and these lines I love many years

Cool. :) It is a great song. Definetly one of my favourites. Those two lines are my favourite from the song. The way they are sang and the atmosphere of the song just make them sound great. I was surprised no one else had mentioned them so I thought I would.

More Than Us is such a good song lyrically (and not bad musically either).
Also, I love the end of Last Train,

"rear window with the room in the hair
and on her jacket there's a picture in white of che guevara
as he sits beneath the tree
but that's not important
but he looked a bit like me
if you took all the little feelings in your heart
and took all those little feelings all apart
oh well now what's the point in doing all of that"

You just know there's some kind of back story and it seems so personal *melts away into Fran's emotions*
