aaaw... of course I had to pick the imaginary-friend dude. rofl.
I still cannot get over the fact that our mascot for the soccer worldcup in 2006 was a lion that had a shirt on, but no shorts. like: he wore a soccer-style shirt, period. it looked horrible on the "real person" mascots. ... and, oh, his friend was a talking soccer-ball. and, oh, the lion's name was "Goleo" (creative, huh) and the ball's name (yes it had a name, too) was "Pille", which means "pill". yes, I'm serious. I don't want to know what they PAID the crackhead who came up with this crap...

Can somebody tell me what this is?
It reminds me of a toddler with a thick winter overall on.
uugh. Apperently no one outside of Canada gets this, but it is a a massively recognized and important symbol here.
It is an innukshuk. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inukshuk
Look, there is one at my cottage in the garden.
hahaha, oh Lilly. That ball looks like it has an ape's face on it.
oh, we just got a bronze in speed skating! woot! well done Kristina Groves. She is from Ottawa :) |

Thanks for the explanation, Kristy! Now I can sleep peacefully at nights when there's one less thing to ponder upon.
That innukshuk in your cottage garden is nice. |

then I guess you dont remember Sweden beating the US in the semi's in 2006?
I was stuck in an airport, major delays due to a snow storm, making people text me score updates during that game.
That was a long ass day. Ended up taking an 8 hour bus trip from Ottawa to home.
I remember, but that was a sensation. I think we have a 10% chance against USA and a 0,0001% chance against YOUR team ;) In the woman's hockey that is. |
