Thanks:)
37 total medals. Most by any country at any Winter Olympics. We win.
North America is probably the only place in the world which has a false medal table.
THIS IS THE MEDAL TABLE
Canada pissed it with the amount of Golds and finished top. It's not the amount of medals you win, it's the colour that matters.
You could have 22 men wearing Silver medals but it still only means one thing..
Second place and First loser.
Gold = Numbero Uno
I agree. Canada rocked with all the gold medals! I was being sarcastic since this has turned into the Olympics/anti-American thread. Just showing support for my country. Btw, Canada is part of North America. |

Salty already has plans to be Pickle's BFF, so it's going to have to be the 3 of them on the road together. Epic roadtrip.
I need to eat more sidekicks so I can get my Salty.
I was reading an article recounting the game. These are my favourite posts:
2:55pm - Crosby scores winner. Next 45 seconds is best time to commit a crime in Canadian history.
2:56pm - It's okay for people in Edmonton to start hating Dany Heatley and Chris Pronger again.
3:03pm - How funny would it be if the Canadian men went onto the ice with Ginger Ale and Popeye cigarettes to celebrate?
3:57pm - Walking out onto the streets of Vancouver and this is pure chaos. Complete strangers are hugging and giving each other high-fives. This is exactly what we are supposed to avoid, according to the H1N1 pamphlet I was given back in the fall.
I've pretty much spent the last 2 days reading every article about the game, and people saying nice things about the Olympics, Vancouver, Canada, etc. Which basically means, avoiding all Russian and British media. And you know how much I love me some Russian media! It's been a challange. |

This was on the wall of the Canadian dressing room at Canada Hockey Place:
LEAVE NO DOUBT
That this is our game.
That this is our time.
That 14 days in February will be 2 weeks for the ages.
That every day counts.
That every meeting matters.
That every practice makes a difference.
That each one of us will rise to every occasion.
That this isn't about us, it's about our country.
That we know 33 million Canadians will attend every game.
That home ice is an advantage.
That nothing can distract us.
That nothing will stop us.
That our determination will define us.
That we are built to win.
That we are a team of character.
That we are a team of destiny.
So let the world be warned on February 28, 2010, we will ...
LEAVE NO DOUBT
"That this isn't about us, it's about our country" is my exact feeling on the game and the entire Olympics. It wasnt about Sidney Crosby. It wasn't about Sharkes or Penguins or Red Wings or the Flames. It wasnt about NHL teams. It wasn't about a city. It's about my country. The very foundation of who I am, and who every player on the team is, and every fan in the stadium and watching on streets and in the bars and in basements around Canada.
