Bronze for Team Mili.
I love that half the crowd is in Team Canada red at the Sweden/Finland game.

Oh, i think the Finnish President is there. The one that looks like Conan OBrien. (Im watching it with no sound at work while I do shtuff, so I just think it is her. Perhaps Mili can confirm or deny).

Congrats Finlandish people

Thanks, Kristy!
Yes, Tarja Halonen, our Conan O'Brianish president was there. A good day for her and us, as there was another bronze medal for the ladies' skiing team, too.

EEEEEEEEEEE!
The only better than a hockey gold is hockey gold on home soil! And the only thing better than that is DOUBLE gold on home soil!

Ya, poor Gretz was stuck sitting with Harper, BUT Michael J Fox was there! Can't wait to hear O Canada!

They have a CDN flag on the ice with a gold maple leaf. cool.

Swede Boy, Andrew Monkey just sent me the top 10 selling DVS on Play.com. Look at #10!
1. Up (Pixar)
2. Michael Jackson: This Is It
3. My Sister's Keeper
4. Transformers 2: Revenge Of The Fallen
5. Public Enemies
6. The Hurt Locker
7. The Time Traveler's Wife
8. Gran Torino
9. The Proposal (2009)
10. Cool Runnings

Congrats on Kristy's ladies' gold medal! Apparently they were pretty confident, as there were some ready printed cans with gold medal subject available straight after the win.

yup, it's stupid. A- they just won a gold medal, b- there was no one in the building c- dude, they're Canadian! give them their beer.
It does suck that Marie-Philip Poulin is underage though, because they could legit get in trouble for that, but seeing as she scored our 2 goals, let the girl have a damn beer!
Also, I dont know if that is champagne with a Molson label on it, or beer in a champagne bottle, but that's cool!

The men's game isnt until 9:30 tonight, Im going to have to occupy myself until then. On my drive to work the radio was giving a 12+ hour countdown to the game.

The semi final game in 2002 was in the afternoon here. I was in grade 12. They let us out of class early (I got out of last period math. excellent) to go to the gym and watch the game on a giant screen. I remember the most ridiculous things.

in followup to Ric's article post, I just read this on twitter (Elliotte Friedman is a Hockey Night in Canada reporter):
FriedmanHNIC In other news, IOC to investigate last 100 Stanley Cup Final celebrations.

yup! it about 100x less rowdy than any Cup celebration, but it's a complete double standard. chicks drinking and smoking a cigar, ooooooh, scary!

6-0? WTF Finland? Mili, talk to your boys!

My son's gone to bed in disgust. I think I'll go too (it's 11.20 pm here). I must say I had a bad feeling about this.

Why thank you swede boy :P

I caught part of the first period here at work and when I saw it was 6-0, I figured we were in pretty good shape for a win. Sorry Mili. Kristy, I will be cheering for Canada to win tonight so we will be able to beat you twice for the gold:)
