Hey guys, I was wondering: how much do you pay for your subway/bus pass per month? Cause I'm moving in in September and I have no idea what card I should take.
I've been told the Oyster card is less expensive. But I'll have to take the subway everyday to go to Uni or for my job so I'm not sure it's worth it in the end.
Heya, you're definately better off getting an Oyster card. The price of the travelcard depends on what zones you will be travelling through. A zone 1-2 travelcard is something like £25 a week, but a bus pass is £13.80 a week, and that includes all zones and the trams in Croyden.
If you can get the bus to your uni from where you will be staying I'd recommend just getting a bus pass, it saves so much money, and you can top up your Oyster card with credit for tube journeys. The pay as you go money stays on your card until you use it up, then you just re-top it up and there isn't a time limit when you have to use it by.
And make sure you register your card online incase it gets lost or stolen :)
