I don't really have anything worth talking about. My prom wasn't really anything to write home about, meh.
at my school leaver's ball one of our teachers got up to sing U2's "one" very tearfully because he was distraught at losing his favourite class.
the man was not a singer and was a very cringey scenario all around. |

Oh god... that sounds like it was straight out of a movie or sitcom. Brilliant... and cringe-worthy indeed. |

I don't really have any awkward dance stories. My prom was fairly normal and uneventful. My group and I even left early since we were all swimmers and just had our big championship meet that same day-literally untill like 5 PM. We were sunburnt and exhausted, but danced a little bit. My date was just a guy friend so no awkward feelings.
I'll share my first slow dance song in junior high.
Awwww memories |

I'm 85% sure this was the song my first dance was to:
Anne's gonna kill me |

Oh dear. My heart is hurting. But I don't feel like I can kill you. I mean did you know better?
Wait. I think I need more details. Did you like the song? What about the guy? |

Hmm, I wish I knew what the first song I danced to was. I know the guy, but not the song |

It was either that or this. I like how all of our first dance memories stemmed from theme songs of relatively crappy movies of the early 00's. |

I was 12. So... no

I think I did at the time. C'mon! Cut me some slack, it was the theme from the Spiderman movie!

I had never met him, he just turned to me and said, "Wanna dance?" It was at the week long summer music (BAND) camp at the university I now attend. That being said, I don't think you guys realize how much of a dork I was/am... |

I was trying to remember who my first slow dance was with and what song. For the life of me I can't remember but it sparked another memory that I thought I'd share.
I was at a dance in 8th grade (so 13) and this guy Matt asked me to dance. We were dancing and it's not like we were glued together close but we were close enough for me to suddenly notice he either had a rabbit in his pants or he was just happy to see me.
It was extremely embarrassing for me as I tried to subtly move far enough away to not feel...it. In hindsight I cannot imagine how he must have been feeling! |
