There's a week long international protest being held online.
Basically they're trying to introduce a law in NZ which has a 'Guilt Upon Accusation' clause, which means copyright holders need only accuse someone of breaching a copyright, and a persons internet can be disconnected without a trial or evidence being bought to court. This can include entire Schools, hospitals, internet cafes... etc...
I think it's really stupid, I thought NZ stood up for their own instead of being pressurised by multi-national corporations! Any way, Stephen Fry's on it, so it must be important haha.

As Lauren said, it's because I'm from NZ... I'm sorry if I'm not from the UK, or Canada or any other countries which commonly come up under other threads. Generally if you reply to a thread it tends to have some relevance to the conversation??
If I had known people would've just started petty arguments, I would have left you all to your 'which colour underpants' style threads. |

I don't even get the argument... she's mocking you for sarcasm, when she replied in exactly the same way? How is that any better? Surely if you fail, she should fail too? At least you were original in your sarcasm. |
