Died Aged 60 the Guardian reports. Devastating news, I nearly bought tickets to go see him in November, I really wish I had now, was even gonna bring my parents over. I never really get affected by these things but this has kinda knocked me back a bit, I dunno why, maybe I'm just getting older.
I recommend anyone who hasn't heard of him to go listen to Solid Air (1973 the year I was born) here is the title track to get you started...Solid Air

It's a sad day! So sad to hear of John passing away! Solid Air is an amazing album. I went to see him at the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall in 2005, he was amazing. One of a kind, there will never be another one like him.
