Seems like you said the same thing last year.
The outpouring of generosity at Christmastime is what funds many charitable institutions all year long. Most things we support only ask for donations once a year, or twice at the most. Christmas is the big kick in the rear end that some folks need to think of others for a change. It's a lot easier for charities to ask for and receive help at this time of year when people's hearts and wallets are open, then say, in July.
What's wankery about that? |

What is wankery about it is...
In my opinion most people don't give a shit about most charities all year round except at Christmas, this is in fact not the fault of the charities in question but of society in general. People basically excuse themselves from acting like selfish wankers all year round by donating at christmas thus easing their conscience. Where as if they were any sort of decent human being they would not need the excuse of "ah all right then, afterall it is Christmas".
