I Came in Through the Bathroom Window Posted Mon 10 Nov, 2008 1:45 PM |
I asked my mom the other day:
J: May I ask you a question, mom?
M: Yes, I'm afraid you're my doughter, you're not adopted.
J: I had been wondering that, thanks. *to herself: what a lame joke* What I really wanted to know is: did you use to take us with you and sit us on your lap when you peed when Ale and I were little? (*)
M: What???? That would have been a mess! I left you both in the playpen.
So I don't know anyone else who does that, Anne! :oP
(*) This obviously said in a correct Spanish, not in an awful English.

I did! All 3 of mine when they were babies at some point refused to be left and it was easier to sit them on my lap whilst i peed rather than a) liten to them scream or b) have them tugging at me - I like happy babies - with all of them it didn't last long (the phase that is not the pee!) |

Is this for real? In which case......Nooooo!
Provided they were safe, I left them for that special moment. Would never have considered otherwise.
Being followed by a toddler into the bathroom just when I wanted a moment of peace to do my thing - now that was another battle.

Never even considered that, one needs a moment of peace occasionally! |

Hahaha,I love that you asked your mom.
I dont want to know the answer and am thus not asking!
I do try to claim I was adopted, however. |

Thank you Spid!!!
To clarify, when they were babies they never came in with me. I never brought them in and if they cried while I was occupied, so be it.
However when they started to walk there was little I could do to keep them out. If I closed the door they'd just bang and cry and that really was more disturbing than just letting them stand there or sit in my lap.
So it's not like I wanted them in there, they just were! |

LOL!!!! Sorry Anne! I still think it’s hilarious that I woke my mom up to ask her this question. She looked at me like I was NUTS! Hahahahaa!
“Mom…pssstt…mom, wake up.”
“Huh? What?”
“Is it normal to let your baby sit on your lap when you pee? Did you ever do that?”
“WHAT!? NO!”
LMAO!! The look on her half-asleep face was priceless.

This is why I am not asking! My mom already thought i was crazy when i asked her how long milk has come in bags here. "Umm, why do you need to know that?" "Just because, okay!"
I too love that you woke her up to ask that! |
