Just wondering - have the guys ever been involved with drugs at all?

Not condoning or condemning either way, just interested to know how prevalent drugs are in the music scene at the moment compared to the britpop years in the 90's where a lot of bands seemed to be 'at it'.

Depeche Mode hinted strongly of some substance abuse in the 90's in their recent press conference (well, Dave Gahan nearly died of od).

I've never heard of such stories with Travis, but what do I know.

Yes.

Frontman Fran Healy said: "As far as illegal drugs go, I think we can safely say all of us have sampled everything - apart from heroin and glue."

Here ... and other places ...

No, acoording to what I heard.
There's an interview about drugs...

Here's the thing on VG TV interview(Norwegian TV, 4/??/2007)

Fran said...He had Q magazine interview 9 o'clock in the morning, and they were so tired.
Interviewer asked about drugs, and fran thought people would think they're boring, so in his tired state, he said "We've done everything". and he didn't think about it anymore until his mom called, crying, and said "Did you see the magazine?" and there's the headline - DRUGS, WE'VE DONE THEM ALL. lol
Fran said that's not true. They've never done that. They only smoke (and Fran stopped it), drink occasionally.

And he thought talking about how they'd "done everything" wouldn't end up as a headline?

He said 'they had been in tired state' several times.
9 in the morning...Maybe they're not 'early bird' type. :)

Who cares, they're human. I've taken drugs. So have a lot of the population living perfectly respectable lives. Remember reading about how the 'we've done everything' comment was a joke that backfired, but still, it's none of our business and they're hardly a little Scottish army of Pete Dohertys.

Not in public anyway :D
