Lauren I visit this site pretty much every day and often think of you since I heard about it from you.

The office drama makes me even more grateful that I have none of that.

This recent one was especially amusing to me. I love that apparently her co-workers were so tickled and unimpressed that they added these crazy animal pics in response.

This one made me chuckle. Here's the story behind it:

my daughter attends a friend’s house for child care two days a week. for the past few days, the lady watching her has been checking my daughter’s clothing tags and telling her she needs to wear “the size of her age.” (”since you’re 4 years old, you need to wear size 4,” etc.) this person has never said anything to me or her mother — just the child. this was making my daughter worry unnecessarily about her clothes, so i decided to step in. when i asked my daughter if she had her tags checked that day, she said yes — but we’ve never had another incident of tag-checking since.

Anne, for some reason I can totally see you doing this

I saw this a few days ago and it really made me laugh. What a weird babysitter!

If I didn't have the guts to talk to her face to face (which I probably would) I would consider doing something like this.

What an idiot of a baby sitter! Kiddies come in all shapes and sizes, as well as the clothes they wear.
A few years ago we were in a situation when one child wore clothes meant for kids 2 years older than her and the other one had clothes meant for a younger person, all from the same shop/maker (Adam's, UK)

And yes, I can imagine Anne doing this… ;^)

We have a serious case of passive-aggressive note overkill at the newspaper this week. It started with a small hand-written note from our boss that he taped to the mini fridge we keep in our department asking us to please clean it out. And so, we all made an effort to get rid of the older food and drinks we didn’t need. However, the next day we arrived to find another note in its place. This one was typed in size 100 font on the huge paper we use to print out proofs of the newspaper pages. It was as big as the fridge, and it was much more threatening – telling us that everything in the fridge was getting tossed by midnight, and that we needed to be more responsible. It was so hilarious. I wish I could post pictures, but I feared being caught taking pictures of the fridge with my camera phone. The best part came when he opened the fridge and asked who owned the French Vanilla coffee creamer. One of my fellow co-workers said it was hers and that she keeps it in there because she has coffee every day. He told her to keep it on her desk because it was taking up too much room and that coffee creamer doesn’t need to be refrigerated. Then, when she pointed out the “keep refrigerated” label, he said “Well, then take it home tonight or it’s getting tossed!” So, we all took bets on who the boss would make clean out the fridge. Because surely he wasn’t going to throw on a pair of rubber gloves, grab a trash bag and do the dirty work himself. And, of course, we were right. Before he peaced out at 6 p.m., he delegated one of our editors to clean it out. I really did feel like I was in the middle of a scene from Office Space today. So funny.

Today's post has several entries about how mixing Facebook and work is a dangerous thing. The last post especially is fantastic.
