We know that "The Ballad Of J. Smith" and "Lock Me Up" are Song To Self b-sides, but what about the third?
(If they take the same approach for Song To Self as Something Anything, ie, 2 b-sides on cd single, 1 on the vinyl)
Maybe I Kissed A Girl on the vinyl?
I'd love to see a studio version of this.

| That would be great. Would be nice to have an official release of the middle 8 version of Song To Self too. They've had a cover on most singles recently. 3 covers with The Boy With No Name and a cover with Something Anything... ;) |

| If they stick with the theme of the vinyl B side being a cover version, then I reckon 'I Kissed A Girl' will be a good shout. They haven't recorded it in the studio though I don't think - but they could use a live version from a gig or radio show(I think they have done it on the radio haven't they?) |

Nooo! God no! I was away for 3 weeks, not really checking the board and I have just learned about "I kissed a girl." It might be a fun song to sing at concerts but not a song worthy of the honor to be covered in a Travis release. Ok, "hit me baby" was much better from Travis and I removed it from my dislikes list but "I kissed a girl" does not even sound that different. Maybe they should make an "I kissed a boy" version and make a video, where they kiss each other--and like it, then I might re-consider:) |
