Ring out the Bell. Every day, every minute, every hour. Goes without saying. The cover of The Weight was also mind blowing. Oh, and how did I nearly forget the cover of all the young dudes. Im not distracting from their own tunes which go without saying are spectacular. Good name them all night. But when they cover a classic and make it all fresh with their take on it – gives me shivers whilst also giving me a giggle that some new Travis fan thinks its an OG and doesnt realise its a cover. Would love to see them cover Geraldine by Glasvegas

So many but tonight for me it has to be

      VILLAGE MAN

I just really love this song.
Especially when the weather is cold & grey and I’m simply walking and walking and singing it out loud! Makes me feel so alive.

      And also THE WEIGHT…

Hey, yeah we love that song – we played it live a couple of years back and it was great fun to play. Have a good weekend. N

Underrated is a tricky word because, from all my time on the messageboard, I’ve heard a lot of people champion a lot of songs!

I’m gonna say Quicksand. Awesome tune, I don’t see it get enough attention.

From albums; Mid-Life Krysis, or A Different Room.

From Singles/B-sides; The Connection, Green Behind The Ears, or Life and Soul of the Party.

Depends on what you mean with underrated, but I personally love two singles that don’t get performed a lot, Walking in the sun and Coming Around.

Somewhere Else – Best song off 12 Memories IMO.

I think Song To Self is one of their best songs.

I must be sure these are the signs as I’ve been here a million times before. My boyfriend at the time got the coming around merch t-shirt, I got the flowers in the windows one ❀️

Battleships is in my opinion the most underrated song. It`s a well written song and there is more truth in this song, than you might think.

There are quite a lot that deserve more recognition.
I’d say Travis are excellent at playing covers : the weight, all the young dudes, the urge for going are wow!
Albums: Coming around, Butterflies, Big Chair, I love you Anyways, Battleships, Valentine, Good day to die and many others that I can’t remember at the moment
A special place in my heart :
SOME SAD SONG (so beautiful it hurts)
      THE RIVER
LIFE AND SOUL OF THE PARTY
      BOXES
PAPERCLIPS ( I’ve always thought this one as a painful message to Fran’s dad but I may be wrong)

I read your comments and realize I can’t choose; my list is almost identical to the ones everyone has already mentioned, so I would add “We are monkeys” and “No cigar’. I love the depth and darkness of songs like “last train” or “funny thing”, but I’m going with those other two that have that magical wit:
“…and if you don’t believe, go and climb up a tree and you’ll love it”

“Oh, we’ve come so far, so close but no cigar” that’s how I feel most of my days end, haha.
