Hey Sirius. What was your old board name? Yeah it’s so cool. For me it will always be connected to the late 90’s when the website got started. Of course it picked up significantly in the 00’s and then sort of died off when the tsunami of new social media arrived. The tide has rolled out again though and the board lives.

Hi @Fran I used to be Eledh. Transitioned a few years ago and my new name is Sirius, so I thought I should just sign up with this instead of my deadname.
So glad the board is back. I’ve missed it and its atmosphere a lot.
I also miss seeing you live, so hopefully see you soon at the next tour.

It feels so retro to be back doing this & so out of practice ever since the old messageboard self destructed & social media took over, but so cool at the same time.
Who is calling the register?
Someone tell AmyMac to come back on! I remember her posting demos back in the day before she got famous. Be great to see it build back up to how great it was in the olden days. Be even better if all of the messages from the old board were saved & the gig history also, along with all of the old photos.

I was BenFilbert before, I think. I have no idea if anyone remembers me. I did make some lovely friends though. Especially a certain someone. It’s very lovely to be back here. The world has changed a lot since those days.

I can’t remember the name I used back in the day, but I was a sometime-boardie starting in 2000. Some usernames do look familiar to me! I was pretty quiet most of time so I’m sure I said nothing memorable, but that’s OK. LOL. The message board was a pleasant online escape for me in the early aughts (the low-level micro-disaster that was my twenties). I’m looking forward to jumping back in and reading all the fascinating voices from around the world.

How vintage we are! My old username was Barby, I didn’t usually comment much in the threads except for the “If you’re Argentinian” one. Thanks to Travisonline I met the people who are now my friends from Travis concerts, really lovely people and we’re very close, a wonderful group of people to be a part of in the Southern Hemisphere.

@gladsadmad I had a handwritten cassette tape from Amy that got lost many moons ago in the loft and probably the skip when something called MP3’s started being the craze. Gutted I didn’t hold onto it as no one believes me when I tell her she was one of us!

I can’t remember what my user name was back in the day – I think myself and my then gig-buddy spliced our names together and I may have been ‘Jules&Wendy’?? Hello old boardies! Well this is a blast from the past! My goodness, I’ve registered as my old username (when LOTR was all the rage) Ha! And now I’ve been living in the real Lord of the Rings land, New Zealand for the past 20-odd years! Wowsers!
I remember asking the community back in the day if anyone had seen the movie Signs and if it was worth going to see, and was quite chuffed when Fran replied and I think he said his mum had just been (or was going to). Naawww….
