When your lying in bed, does anyone every suddenly just out of the blue heat up like a radiator. I have no idea why this happens. Like my chest totally goes nitro! Maybe it’s just me and millions of menopausal women. Anyways it’s happening right now. The cat was lying on me 20 minutes ago. Maybe that’s it. But sometimes it just happens. Anyone?

I sleep in the auld Birthday Suit and go from hot to cold, to leg in, leg out, duvet off, duvet on and then the alarm goes off and you wonder if you even slept. Having some mad REM sleep at the minute.

I’m a woman but yeah it also happens sometimes to me and it depends mostly by
1- gastroesophageal reflux (if you lies down it gets worse)
2- hormonal changes. It happens to men also, testosterone dropping down
3- strain/anxiety
If you experience shortness of breath please get your heart checked, better safe than sorry!
Hope it helps xx

Absolutely. My body yo-yos between being too hot or too cold the whole day. Zero temperature regulation at all.

Ooh oh I know! *Hand shoots up* 🙂
Either:
– Too much coffee, chocolate or liver heating food was consumed today
– Not enough was 😉
– You are having a divine moment where a bigger part of your soul energy is coming in to rebalance and recalibrate you where you may need some healing. In this case best to feel into it, ask it what it needs, and allow your ‘good’ team to tidy up what needs tidying and ask to be restored to full health overnight.P.S. Hope I’m not overstepping the rules. Just some musings that I hope help HEAL Mr HEALy. xx

Yes and it is simply terrible. It usually wakes me up and then I’m either up for 2 hours or never fall back asleep. Sometimes I dream of sleeping in a walk in freezer.

I hear you. Not menopausal yet, but I have some hormonal issues 🥵. In your case, it may be just the cat, hopefully!

Hi Fran,
It happens to me too!
Who knows, maybe you were thinking about something or someone special, or I think that’s why it happens to me too.
Take care! -

Fran, any symptom, no matter how small or silly, is best investigated through age-appropriate tests and maintaining a healthy routine to be sure of what is happening. Health is serious business.

Dejando las bromas, consulta con un Doctor, es mejor estar seguros de que no hay nada por ahí. Por el bien tuyo y tranquilidad de todos nosotros 😊😘

No… but I often get that horrible sudden fright, just as you’re drifting off, that makes you jump out your skin – and the start of your dream is you falling off a kerb, falling off a chair bsckwards, falling off your bike, etc

I was called literally a “radiator” last night by my boyfriend, but I didn’t feel the heat, and my hands and feet were cold.
Why’s that? No idea. “Multitemperature body”.(By the way it’s winter here in Buenos Aires, so he must be glad to sleep with the radiator, right?)

I’m through the menopause and out the other side now (shows how long it’s been since I was last on here – I’m ancient! 😆), but yes, I remember it well… Throwing the sheets off in a state of panic thinking I’m about to spontaneously combust! Fun times indeed 🥴

Hi Fran, I’m not menopausal yet, but I get very hot because I bundle up a lot to sleep when it’s cold. Since the cold in Buenos Aires is humid, sometimes I get hot and sweaty. Anyway, the chest corresponds to the fourth chakra, the heart. Perhaps you’re experiencing energy releases there at night. You’re probably healing, which is why your kitten is supporting you.

It’s happened to me but then stopped? It first happened when I was visiting Scotland in March. It was random, figured it was just me trying to figure out the weather there and wearing something too warm with the humidity and all the walking and then turning the heat on at night, or perimenopause, or actual menopause 😂 Got worse after I got home to TX. Then I got strange bouts of vertigo which I stopped drinking for a couple of weeks to try to figure that out, and I haven’t turned into a nuclear radiator since. I think the temp pause in drinking was a factory reset? Time will tell

Omg I was just thinking about this last night because it happens to me whenever I have any slight cold or inflammation. Eventually it goes away but it takes forever after a bad cold.
