Im sure the band have thier own viable reason as to why Before You Were Young is not part of the new set, but i say wee chip together and buy them a big gong to perform it live. Lol. :-) |

Hahaha, lol, good one!
Actually, a friend of mine has even 3 pieces of gongs, as far as I remember one really is huge. Now I just wonder if he wants to lend one to Travis, hehe, they shall do a good deal. :) Ohh, Slovenia is too far......

should we start throwing money at the stage? Preferably before they come out so no one gets hit. There can be a pre-arranged 1 minute to chuck as much money as you can on stage and then someone can come out, sweep it up, count it, and add it to the gong fund, which will hopefully be kept in a giant piggy bank. Or..bc they are Scotish, a highland cow bank. |

What the heck is the problem with you lot?
First you try to push artists off stage and now you want to start pelting another one with coins!
Disgraceful. |

Dearest Darran, i was at the show BEFORE the Oasis pushing incident! And i specifically said the money throwing should be before they come onstage. Except for specific 47 year old crazies at the VFest, we Canadians are a peaceful, loving people. Who dont try to murder cornflakes like some Northern Irishmen i know! |

I was wondering cuz I hadn't heard anyone mention the gong. Bummer but it does seem a bit annoying to lug all around on tour.
This is why my suggestion of just doing 100 gigs in my backyard is good: get the gong, set it up one time, and you're done! |

I have to admit when I saw there was no gong I knew no BYWY...still, maybe next time round when everyone knows the songs more, they will indulge us :)

Couldn't they buy a small gong? Or use a cymbal at least?
Size doesn't matter, we just really need Before You Were Young in the set! (My absolute favourite of the moment)
I'm thinking a scaled down version, a-la Flowers In the Window, with Fran singing, Claes on keyboards, Neil on drums/small gong, Dougie & Andy on percussion etc..
It doesn't have to be so huge live, although it would be nice. But if it's hugeness is the one thing that is stopping it being included within the setlist, then maybe scaling it back like this is the answer. It wouldn't be the Ode tour without it.
Just, please Fran, include Before You Were Young on the setlist for the last gig of this UK tour at the London Astoria.
Cheers for reading! |

They just need to go into the chatroom and use the gong feature! |

Will there be a gong for the last date of the tour at the Astoria in London?
It would be amazing if they played Before You Were Young there. Please! |
