4/10 review for Ode, but the review doesn't actually mention any of the songs on the album except Chinese Blues(Kind of suggests they listened to the first song & no others). The rest of the 'review' is the usual shite about Travis not being relevant blah blah blah. NME suck |

Is that not double what they gave TBWNN though? Progress!!
Nah, NME's a grotty old rag. They're a fine one to talk about being irrelivent. |

BOOOOOOOOO! They obviously don't know what good music is. That's just absurd. Their loss. Travis are amazing and we all know it.

To be honest the NME isn't relevant anymore. Used to be a great newspaper but now its just a music tabloid rag. Used to buy it every week but I think I have bought it about 2 times in the last 2 years. |

The Finnish music magazine Rumba gave Ode 2 out of 5. Talked about "old men" and how Travis is only going to stay in history as a band that paved the way for Colplay et al.. They also criticised Fran's voice in the more rocky songs, but liked the more traditional Travis tunes like Song to Self, which according to the magazine, they do best. Obviously they didn't hear Before You Were Young, saying the album finishes with Song to Self. |

Yeah, used to be a regular subscriber to the NME, but after it became a Pete Doherty mutual appreciation society I renaged my membership. Now its just a lap dog to whatever seems to be calling themselves, "the next big thing".
For me, its either The Word nowadays. |

Might just add that NME only gave the new Kings Of Leon album 7/10 which is a travesty as well. Its as if they don't like it when a band gets successful. So petty
Incidentally its a tie between KOL & Travis for my fav albums this year! |
