Oh, great, another nutcase shooting fellow students today in Kauhajoki. Maybe three dead and several injured, it's all a bit murky still.

This is his suspected Youtube profile introduction. The videos were all about shooting (the account is closed now)

And suddenly there was war we didn't remember it
A long time forgotten there suddenly was war
And suddenly there was war our children are dead
Burnt in the ruins that were left by war

War

And suddenly there was war and the mothers they screamed
For revenge and reprisals for another war
And suddenly and suddenly
And suddenly there was war with spoiling and death
And you fight alone if there's another war

Whole life is war and whole life is pain
And you will fight alone in your personal war

War

This is war!

I wish that idiot had stuck to the knives and only used them against himself. Kauhajoki area was famous for its knife culture in the olden days.

Grrr, looks like he was too absorbed in his own pain to realise that not everyone wants to die.

So, the text above is from his (assuming here) favorite song. And here's the idiot:

http://kuvat2.iltasanomat.fi/iltasanomat/iDoc/1592142-ampuja_sisa.jpg

A 22-years old Matti Saari (in English it would be Matthew Island), who copied almost exactly the nutter who shot 8 less than a year ago.

I just heard that police interviewed this Saari on Monday because of his shooting videos on Youtube. They came to the conclusion that he was harmless and was allowed to keep his gun and licence.

Do you honestly think this is a good idea to post a picture of this guy without knoing all the facts. I'm not saying that people deserved to die but we do not as yet know his reasons for committing this crime, perhaps the people in that school bullied him to suh an extent he snapped, perhaps he's been sexually abused, perhaps he's mentally sick or perhaps he's just another fucking nutcase in any event we do not know the facts as yet. Please before you post this drivel, think.

If it had been you in the same circumstances can you honestly say you would behave any differently.

Condemned before the inquest/trial whatever. Fuck it, why bother to find the cause, let's just string him up right now, in fact I've a better idea why not just let anyone who feels like it, give him a severe kicking before we execute the fucker, it's what he deserves... right???

Sorry, if I offended you or anybody else, Dubz. Posting the drivel is an attempt to understand what's going on.
The Finnish police revealed his name and confirmed that this is his picture, I didn't dig it up. I have come across other stuff, too, but that I won't post. Anyway, there probably won't be a trial, as the doctors don't think he'll survive.

I don't know what's wrong with these kids, obsessed with the Colombine case, copying each others' actions. A young man in his early 20's, studying for a profession, with a place of his own, you'd think he has a whole life ahead of him.

I'm sure the press will dig up everything about him from kindergarten onwards, but I won't bother you with it.

I'm sorry you just got the brunt of that, You didn't offend me, sorry. I can understand that you are looking for answers, just like everyone else at the moment.

It's just that human nature scares me a bit when people get caught up in the moment. I know at other times it's human nature that saves some people. The "fight or flee" reflex for example. I should perhaps have worded my post a little more sensatively but I was playing devil's advocate I mean no matter what the guy has done he does deserve to be heard/tried before being condemned. Everyone will be quick to jump on the prosecution bandwagon I just wanted to point out there might be a defence (of course I could be wrong and he's just a fucking nutter)

btw I do apologise also to any victims/relatives/Suomi or anyone connected to this matter if they find the above comments distasteful.

Dubz, you have a point when you say that he does deserve to be heard. Of course there is a reason why he snapped. However, even if he was bullied, sexually abused etc., it doesn't exactly make sense for him to kill random students. One would think that he'd go for the wrong-doer(s), whoever it may be.

Och, I don't know. It's just so frustrating that shooting random people has become such a regular occurence.

Don't worry Dubz, your poin of view was relevant, and I don't want to be lynching anyone, either.

As a mother of two schoolkids all this is rather worrying, and the balance of protecting them / their right to know is difficult to achieve.

Oh, well.

The information I posted yesterday seems rather mild after the footage on international news and in Finland, too. The shooter is pointing his gun at the reader on the front page of Telegraph.com, and yesterday Sky News showed his threat video with noise and all. Thankfully that was not seen at the local tv channels.

My kids are taking it all surprisingly calmly. I hate to think that it's probably because they're sort of used to the idea after last year's similar incident.

That's the modern media for you these days, always sensationalizing and blowing stuff up to massive proportions. Instead of actually reporting the facts.

I'm glad the kids are OK, sometimes kids are tougher than they seem, mind you keep an eye on them, they are also better at hiding their feelings.
