Sorry, wrong thread! This thread is about plectrums. Did you know that the plural for plectrum is plectra, and that they are "made of a variety of materials, including celluloid, metal, and rarely other exotic materials such as stone, but today plastic is the most common" (wikipedia). Fascinating stuff.
