I'm curious, what do you consider to be the best club (for concerts) where you live? Here in L.A. I would have to say that the Troubadour in West Hollywood kicks every other club's ass! I saw Travis there for the first time back in 2000 and the show was amazing! it's a really intimate place, you can stand right in front of the performers, and I have.
The Wiltern also kicks ass, it's got the best sound, no doubt about it. I have seen Travis there 2 times.:-) |

For Michigan, I'd say that Clutch Cargos in Pontiac beats out all the clubs in Detroit. It's the perfect size and Travis ROCKED it last summer. Best show I've ever been to by far. I saw their show in Detroit at The State Theater (now The Filmore) back in 2003. It was a great show as well, but I enjoyed the one at Clutch Cargos even more. More energy and the crowd was insane and so into it. I've never seen a show in Ann Arbor though...so I can't really comment on that.

Sounds like fun, if I'm ever in Michigan I'm definately checking the lineup for that club. What teams do you follow out there? I think there's pic with u and a hockey player on your profile so i'm guessing you're a red wings fan? |

In Helsinki the best one must be Tavastia, but it might be too small for Travis.
HIM plays there every New Year's eve, and it's always full then.

What do you consider to be an ideal size for a Travis venue? |

in Toronto I like the Kool Haus and the Underground at the Drake Hotel.
When I went to school in Ottawa I loved the Capital Music Hall, and then they went and tore it down and put up condos....paved paradise and put up a parking lot. |

Mili, I love the small venues, nomatter how crowded or hot they get, i think those are the best shows to experience. the night i saw travis the whole audience was singing at the top of their lungs and we were all sweating, to be honest with you, but it was totally worth it. even the boys in the band loved it. there is a really cool connection that exists in small venues. helsinki is pretty far right now but i'm sure that i will pass through there someday |

the make out room is the name of the club. they did use to have a bed in there in the early days .
Thee parkside and the Bottom of the hill are like 2 blocks apart . Thee Parkside still has that friendly neighborhood Hells Angel hangout feelin to it .

nikki, i saw them win the cup a few months ago, congrats. i have to admit i was cheering for the penguins to push it to seven games just to make it more interesting. the redwings were obviously the better team. all we have here, sdly are the kings, who are dreadful...ugh. but we got you in basketball, and we're doing a little better in baseball, i think, we don't have a football team but then neither do you (come on, the lions?)what other sports do you like? do you play any? |

My friend saw people actually...uh...doing it at Clutch Cargos up against a speaker once. LOL! But this was during one of their actual club nights and not a concert night...thankfully. Pontiac isn't the best area, but it's better than Detroit.
