Current Fave:
**************
"Float On" by Modest Mouse
Bubbling Under_Top Three:
******************************
"Sailing Away" by Travis
"Jesus Christ" by Brand New
"Solid Air" by John Martyn
my trusty battered and tatered iPod Mini finally bit the dust the other week so this past Sunday. bummer.
i went and got me a new iPod Nano. since picking up my new player "Float On" has been referenced quite a lot, it's aces.
so, what about you lot? what's your fave tracks of the moment? (don't have to be current songs, old stuff is acceptable to hear about too 'la).

that's a nice choice. the vocals are lovely as is the whole song. initially me and jonesy felt that the "battleship...down" line was a tad hokey, but if you just go with the "vibe of the thing" it is indeed a great aural experience. |

an interesting collection as always champchamp. i'm getting into peter bjorn and john - i LOVE "young folks" it's a bit of an indie hit here in boston on the alt.music station, that whistling part is so feckin' catchy isn't it? i dig "poor cow" off their album too, i'll have to give your song choice a listen over the next few days.

Speaking of Travis tunes; Eyes Wide Open and New Amsterdam are must to add to the list too. Thumbs up for One Night as well.
Thanks. |

I know! Their album is a gem. And I can't believe I am going to see them this summer! :-D
You know, I can email you the other tunes faster than the speed of light if you like! ;-) |

hmmm not a big fan of "Eyes Wide Open" myself, i've given it quite a LOT of chances over the past month or so but it's just not bringing it for me. in hindsight (given that i've had a chance to hear the whole album including some bonus tracks) i really do think that it was pretty tough that "Sailing Away" didn't make the team - it really should have been on the album proper instead of "Eyes..." just one man's opinion you understan', nothing personal ;-)
