Travis really need to put their weight behind promoting this single methinks. It's the best chance the band have had at getting to the top of the chart since The Invisible Band days. We can't be having it slip past without people noticing it, it's not that type of track.
I've noticed they're releasing two 7 inch singles vs one CD. What's the obsession with those old record formats? |

I wonder how many people will hear the intro and think "Oooh, Iggy Pop, I haven't heard this in yonks!"
:P

Weeelll, I couldn't resist a dig ;-)
I quite like the first verse - the "cheers, thanks for everything ..." is catchy. But I can take it or leave it.

As I thought - you just like to be critical. Well we'll have no more of your radical opinions of Travis songs thank you very much, even if you think it makes you sound, like, so cool. |

Yeaaah, I'll just wander back over to GC. I feel like I've crash landed on an alien planet posting here in TC ...
;-)

I was thinking the same thing too about the promotion of this song... it's a definite summer anthem! Better all start wearing our Jaffa Cake T-shirts to create an interest ;) (and then spam all local/national radio stations with requests!) |

Me still not keen on Selfish Jean. I even removed this song and Closer in my mp3 player. I do like TBWNN but these two songs are really disturbing me enjoying the whole album. A matter of taste, Sorry.

I kinda like the artwork, only for some reason it bugs me how the red paint on the wall is wearing off in patches. =p |

Or Reach by SClub. I'm torn! But I hate it when the SClub song slips into my consciousness before the Iggy! |

Hi. I got the info from the Wee Store on the site, here. Seems that there's two 7 inch releases, and one CD release.
B-sides are:
"You Bring Me Down" - (CD)
"Is That Love?" - (7 Inch #1)
"Pulling Mussels (From A Shell)" - (7 Inch #2)
An "alternative" video for Selfish Jean is on the CD release as well. Will be interesting to see...unless ofc we've already seen it, and we've not actually seen the official one yet. :p |
