It's on in the background, and yes, it's breathtaking.
Ken Livingstone made the charming remark on the radio today (adlib): There's no way London in 2012 will achieve anything as great as China has with their Olympics in 2008.
Thoughts? |

What truth ?
The truth that we as Westerners are being led to believe by the Western Media ?
Or the Propaganda that the Chinese government is issueing ?
I reckon we will never know, or understand for that matter, what is happening in Tibet. However, one thing is certain I will keep questioning everything I hear from either side !!!
This is human nature, it's also a different culture. China have been invaded throughout history and subjected to all sorts of attrocities, then they see fit to inflict this upon others ? Hmmm that sounds familiar, Judism Israel, anyone ?
Dubz
*edit* Can the people who want to... not just enjoy the games for what they are... Games ??

It really looked amazing and breathtaking! You can see that a lot of hard work went into all the preparations. |

Just saw it, since i understand chinese, i noticed how the chinese Liu (something) said that there were 204 countries instead of 205, that better not be intentional lol but it was really well performed, i personally was hoping for more traditional dancing or something, but i really enjoyed it, watching it in taiwan was a big pain in the butt though, there were two commentators on both channels which broadcasted it, but the way the torch was lit was pretty cool, my most memorable one was the one with the arrow from the Nagano winter olympics so long ago |

I did taiji for a few years, and really appreciated those masters. My daughter and her friend were amazed by the masses of people moving to right places at right times. Impressive.
I don't like opening ceremonies generally, but the bits I watched were impressive. |
