Strange, I posted something earlier in response to comments attached to "message in a bottle" that isn't showing...hm. Oh well. I wanted to ask something that I usually ask when I have been away from new music and this web site for a long time, what, if any, new bands do you recommend? oh and, how do you add friends here? I'm still trying to figure out the details of this website which looks different each year that I visit. :-]...by the way, I've recently been to amsterdam and I have to say that the women in amsterdam are absolutely the most beautiful that I have ever seen, even the strange ones. And "new amsterdam" was running in loops in my head the whole time that I was there.

Don't know what happened to your post. One theory is the board gremlins. Sometimes if you hit submit at the exact same time as someone else your posts get switched. So it's possible that your post is in another thread and makes absolutely no sense in that context.

Yeah it happens regularly enough that if a post doesn't make sense I assume it was the gremlin and not that the person is drunk.

(though that is often a fair assumption)

Not so new, but equally not so well known: Elbow!

For me, 2008 has been Elbow's year - new release and building up their back catalgogue. Magical stuff!
