Hey guys! I finally got the e-mail and I just forwarded it along to my favorite radio station (Detroit/Windsor's 93.9 The River), which plays Travis once in a while, to let them know about the new album and single! Y'all should do the same with your local stations to get the word out there! :)

Did you send it to the station in general or to a specific DJ? I've always found Phat Matt to play the most Travis, so maybe send one to him directly.

Does 89X ever play Travis? I used to listen to them about 20 years ago, until they got a little too alternative for my bland musical taste!

I sent it to Greg Gnyp because he was the one that actually got me into that River Session with Fran and Dougie. He called me to let me know where it was and we were talking about music for a bit and he told me that he loves Brit rock and is a big Travis fan. So that's why I sent it to him, but feel free to send the info to Phat Matt as well because maybe they think I'm annoying them now, lol!

89X used to play Travis. The last time I heard them on that station was when the Re-Offender single was released. They've sorta changed and play harder "I'm gonna kill myself" alternative now and I don't really like it as much, lol. The River is a lot cooler.

Already emailed my buddy Andy at the local Aberdeen statioin,Original 106 Sunday Showcase. He's a fan anyway and has already been giving J Smith airplay. He's put in a request for an interview / session when the band are in town for the show. Hope he gets it!

I don't know when the album is going to be released in Argentina or if that's going to happen, but I'm sure Clau (a boardie), who works at a big local radio station, will try to promote Travis, as she usually does :oP.

To write to local DJs here is a waste of time, because they won't play anything unless they get paid.

On the other hand, I'm trying to convince my dad to play Travis at his independent radio show. It's a weekly radio show about the media, so it has nothing to do with anything, but at least it's airplay lol.

I could try in italy but probably they would answer me something like "Travis who?!?!?"
And really, I don't want to have to punch them. XD

And I so don't want to have to bail you out.

*sighs* It'd be cool to turn on the radio and hear a Travis song - you guys are lucky! Here in Italy it happens once in a blue moon. Thank god for mp3 players :)

Strike!!!! I've e-mailed to my fav radio station HR3 (Germany, Hessen) to my fav "DJ" last week, and he played "Song To Self" this morning!!! I'm absolutely happy!! Unfortunately, I missed what he said before he played it. Did anyone hear it, by any chance??? My husband only heard that he said, the new album is coming soon, and "Song To Self" is the new single...

So: could it be that Travis releases different singles in different countries? Or was it simply a wrong investigation of the radio station? They should have a look on this site!!

But I don't care, THEY PLAYED and PRESENTED it!!! Jippiiieh! I want more!!!
