"Teenage Love Affairs" Musics that you grew out of

Hey everyone.
I was browsing some photos of my early teenage years. Brought back lots of memories. I started exploring rock music when i first got into highschool. I heard the finnish rock band The Rasmus and i just fell in love with them. It was about the time they had their 3rd album out. I was the ultimate manic fan, i joined the forum, i was on the street team. I made a number of very precious friends during the time i was on that forum most of which i'm still in touch with. It was a wonderful time. And it really affected me. it's unbelievable how you can be touched in such deep ways by perfect strangers. I left the board as I grew older, and out of the pop-rock genre. still love the band, they've had a great musical influence on me and i go for their albums and check for news every now and then.
Thought you might have experiences of this kind with other bands.
And sorry i made it long.
Cheers.

erm, probably not a popular one to admit to but i was really taken by travis when i was younger, pretty much would have only their albums on repeat-nothing else. i think i just grew out of them like a lot of things.
doesn't mean i don't like them anymore, last year was my first time seeing them live which i really enjoyed, it was something i'd been desperate to do for years, but i can't exactly say i'm passionate about them as much as i used to be.

I used to be into Take That when I was 13-14 or so. This is not a time that I particularly like to revisit.

Now, REM is a competely different story. I became a fan when I was 11 or so, around the time Losing My Religion came out. Today, I have almost all their albums, and I'm going to see them live in September. They had a few less brilliant albums, but I still love them :o)

I was about 20 when I became a fan of Travis, so you can't really call it a teenage love affair...

I've never ever had music I've grown out of. I know some people go through phases of being into Emo, Goth, Pop, RnB etc, but I dunno, I've always just liked what I like I guess.

Even going back to some of the shit I listened to as a kid - MC Hammer, Jive Bunny, Status Quo, etc, I still totally appreciate it!

Maaaaaaaaybe.... ^.^

Actually, I still like a lot of the songs by both bands I listed. I'm just not obsessed with them anymore and my taste in music has changed a bit.

I think the only one that would really apply to me is Rush...once I started listening to the Smiths I switched over to buying music from bands that I not only still listen to today but still buy their new albums (if they are still putting them out).
