Thanks! I went on a mini vacation with my mom and my aunt to a cute little town called Saugatuck in Western Michigan on Lake Michigan this weekend. We just got home. We ate out at an Irish Pub last night and I thought, "ahh...what the heck!" hehe. To my surprise, it was actually really good! I've seen the Great Lakes several times, but this time was definitely the best. The weather was perfect. Not a cloud in the sky. We found this awesome beach where there were sand dunes and the water was just so gorgeous and there were massive white-cap waves taller than me! :) It was fun.

Hahaha, I am indeed very very proud of you. I'm so glad you liked it, lots of people don't. There's a saying that if you can finish your first ever pint of Guinness then you will become a Guinness drinker. It is an aquired taste, sort of burnt but creamy at the same time and oh so easy to drink.
Well done Nikki, have a t-shirt !!!

I don't think people realize just how "great" the Great Lakes are. It's really like an ocean. The waves are just as large.

Lake Ontario is now sorta blasé to me since i live 2.3 minutes from it, but i drove along Lake Superior last summer for the first time since i was a kid and it blew my mind! A new amazing view around every turn. |

Sorta. It's very close to Holland, Michigan.

Ever been to the sand dunes around there, right off the beach? Very cool. Warren Dunes, that's the name. |
