Continuing the massive swell of appreciation for 'Sarah' - I think we should start a petition to get it added to the new album - even if it is only as a hidden track.
Come on Fran - this song deserves to be heard by millions, and not left tucked away on an EP!!! |

Hmm I really like Sarah, but I don't want it forced on the album when it might not flow or work well with the rest of the material. And I don't like hidden tracks. :p
Maybe for the album after, but again it might not sit right with whatever direction they take. And I think it should be about moving forward, not looking back. It's out now and its a great track, and I think there's something appealing about hidden gems that people can discover and share with each other. |

I agree, also The Beatles never always put singles on the Album, no matter how good they were.
Maybe Sarah will be good for a future 'Best of' Album. |

I already tried this mate. Nobody was interested.
I agree that if it fits on a future album, and I think it would fit on most, it should be on there. :) It's a great track which I'll never get tired of and I would love to hear on a future album. Fran already said it was too late for this album but might make album 7. So he/they already thought of it as an album track. Obviously this was before it became a b-side. I also dislike hidden tracks which I think many people do, so would prefer it not make an album than to be shoved on at the end. |

I dont think it will fit with the album, and to be honest i dont think its that great a song (not that im sayin its not good) i think it sounds very similar to "you bring me down" which was just left off the last album in favour of New Amsterdam which probebly was a mistake but i think sarah would just bring the album down a bit |

This sounds like a good idea. No hidden tracks, please! |

No Sarah on the next album please, its pointless.
If they were to add another track i will prefer a new one and not a b side we already know. |

if we all heard already sarah i think istead of it we deseve a new song, also, i think from all the songs they recorded and mastered, they have already know wich one are "album songs", and for sure are quite much better than sarah, why ? the simple reason is only on the b side of a Ep,,,
i vote no ! i want a different song instead of it !

Not that it really matters, it has been written, recorded and we have it. Smile. :) |

That is true but, what about those "other" Travis listeners, who buy the albums but do not necessarily go after other releases--who do not even hear about them. Is it that if they are not such a fan they do not deserve to know about it? (If I did not like Sarah so much I would not have cared...)
It does not have to be the next new album, but it can be part of B-sides or live album (I support your thread on the albums Oasisbobo) If we are happy that we have it, then we should accept that it is a bit selfish, post this "selfish act" at the selfish jean website and face the consequences of this utter selfishness...
(I guess it is clear that I am a former "other" Travis listener and now I am having hard time collecting the old B-sides)

Its not just me then that is searching out all the old singles on ebay so that I can get the B sides!! I generally only bought the single that preceeded the album because it was new, but then just got the album and didn't bother with any of the other singles - bad move or what... |

I can see both sides of the argument. I'm happy there's another beautiful Travis song out there in the world, but at the same time, there are other Travis fans out there who don't come to this Web site everyday and don't get e-mail updates about the new J. Smith EP. They'll still be there to buy the album when it comes out. That's why I think it makes perfect sense to add "Sarah" as a hidden track, for example. Oh well, I'm glad I have it, but I think other Travis fans who aren't members of this site would love to hear this beautiful song as well.

What difference does it make? You've heard it and enjoyed it, as have thousands of others. What's the problem with that? |
