Day 2 in the office and i'm pissed off already.
My employer said it couldn't get a Team Manager job since I do not speak spanish nor italian.
Today I find out that my team manager can't speak these 2 languages BUT was offered the position.
Also he added he doesn't need them for the job.
Grrrrrrrr !

That stinks, but maybe it has something to do with them wanting to promote someone who was already working there, rather than a new-hire? If so, they should have just been honest about it, though. |

The guy's been working there for 5 years and you're right they should have been more subtle about the whole thing and tell me the "real reason".
Bunch of wankers ! |

The company seems to have a good health insurance...i'm going to take advantage of it.
Also i'm starting to build a network with all the Cartier people i meet - you never know, they can be useful and nice (of course). |

That really stinks. Lame that they couldn't just be honest with their reasons.
Do you like your job so far? Like what you're doing on a day to day basis? |

For the time being i go to meetings to learn about Cartier and my future job.
The Cartier ppl asked how come i knew so much about the company already...so i took it as a compliment.
Like i said this job is also a way of building a network and the health insurance is pretty good. LOL

I have come to the conclusion that, due the distress and irritation jobs generally cause, going to work should be banned. Bah. |

that sounds like the best thing i have heard in a while. Although, work wouldnt be as bad if it didnt start in the morning. I think i would be much more productive from about noon-4 or so! |
