I think it's pure attitude with the Scotland team, the performances against France were exceptional then the performace against Georgia was diabolical, the fact that we were lumped into a qualifying group with the world cup winners and the finalists and which also included the Ukraine, with only the top two qualifying, no-one believed we could do anything, We nearly did it, but again the Scottish Disease of pulling out the stops when we needed to and then falling flat on our face against the "lesser" teams struck!!!
That said we did manage to play some really nice football. Although the passing and finishing against Georgia was fucking woeful, it was fucking schoolboy stuff, pass and move, help each other out, make runs, trap the fucking ball before trying to do something with it.
England on the other hand have a few superstars in a "not bad" team, I use the term team very loosely as they are not playing well together and Gerard or Lampard or Terry can not win it on his own for you, not at that level in the modern game, no matter how good they are.
Of course this is only my opinion and is subject to scrutitny... thoughts anyone ???
