| Hey people, I'm writing a paper and I need one example of postmodern architecture and one example of a postmodern cultural product. I know there are a thousand buildings that are considered postmodern, but I don't like what I've found in google. As for the cultural products part, Amy Winehouse fits the category, but the teacher mentioned her as an example in class, so I want to think of something else. Can you think of anything? Any building/artist (musician or plastic artist, whatever) you know? |

Why architecture and art? Just because I did that doesn't mean you have to do the same :oP.
You can look for examples in literature?

| Architecture and art because they told us to look for examples of "urban space transformations or cultural products", and I have a whole page to fill, so I'm going to put one of each. desperate times call for desparate messures hehe. |

Thank you travisturkey!!! The problem with writers/litereature is that I can't mention a book I haven't read, because I can't analyze it. But thank you anyway!! =o)
Amy Winehouse is postmodern because she is a combination of styles that symbolizes the end of the cultural hierarchy that separated "high culture" from "mass/popular culture" during modernity. Not only her music is postmodern, mixing old fashioned music styles with new ones creating something not entirely new, but also her appearance and the artwork that surrounds her music. Nacho, I can't believe you made me write all this in English, I don't have the vocabulary to do that haha. |

Btw Aletways,having looked at your explanation for Amy Winehouse, I think Gogol Bordello may also be considered as a postmodernist cultural product. Check this out :
