I know there are more than a few different supporters of teams out there, you know the ones I mean, I'm not interested in Man U, Liverpool, Celtic, Rangers, Barca, Real, Inter, Juventus etc etc. I wanna hear from the real fans, I know your out there...
The Dons, The Owls, Hearts, The Mariners, Salford, Lingfield or Glentoran or whoever...
Now that the new season is approaching, How do you think you will fare ? What are your expectations ? Are you worried about survival or gunning for promotion or simply happy to sit mid-table and ride out the season ?? Transfer markets ? Stadia ? Will the manager last the season ?
Let me know I am genuinely interested...
For me I'm quite happy, we have lost a few players in the close season, Kean, Brittain. but Franco Miranda is back on loan for the season, we've also brought in Robb and Wyness. I am quietly confident that in our 3rd season back in the top flight we'll remain there, We played some nice football last season and were unlucky at times but that is football for you, with Hamilton coming up I think we'll be ok I expect them to be going straight back down (no disrespect to any accies out there), plus unless Killie pick up their act it could be a comp between the two. I'll be realistic if we finish 11th happy if we finish 10th and over the moon if we finish 9th.
Our manager (tango man ) is being a bit slow with rebuilding which is worrying.
What with 4th place getting you into Europe this season i hope that we achieve at least that.
But we need players to replace what we have lost and decent ones at that.
A fit Jamie Smith for a whole season wouldn't go a miss either.
St Mirren have a new stadium this year dont they?
Yeah, should be ready first week in January. Strange tho' spent a fortune upgrading Love Street over the past 10 years then off we go to Greenhill Road, mind you I suppose we needed the money, another one of these "Tesco" deals.
Disappointed with Aberdeen last year they would string a few good results together and just when you thought they were getting back on top they'd loose. It's about time. Dons, Hibs, Hearts started pressuring the old firm, they may still have the money but I believe the Scottish Premier is not the lure it once was, where are the Flo's, Laudrups, Di Canio's, Cadette's, Gattusso's . the old firm are now only attracting people at the end of their career or people who want to further their career. This should give the others a bit of impetus to catch up on these fuckers. the sooner they are shown up for being slightly bigger fish in a small pond the better. Strachan is a nasty little bitter bastard and will desert them eventually, Smith is no better, he already turned his back on the national team.
I only support two teams... The Buddies & whomever the Old Firm are playing
