I was thinking about this recently actually, if I ever do have a son I'll try to name him Travis, all depends on whoever my wife is and whether she'll agree to it lol. But I did name my virtual puppy on some Facebook application Travis lol. |

I didn't name my son that but I live in Austin, Texas (located in Travis County!) and the name Travis is super common here.
So the character from the movie Paris, Texas had a very real Texan type name.

I have just had a baby, and Travis was on the cards right up until the end. Other half wasn't 100% on it, so no baby Travis for me!

If I do ever have a child I would think about the name Travis or maybe even Dougie. Also, my boyfriend's middle name is Travis and his last name is Smith. Too bad his first name doesn't start with a J, that would be pretty spooky! |

I has been thinking several times about call my son Travis... but, I'm not quite sure which one will be his reaction when, -supossing- getting older he'll tell me one day "mom, why did you call me like your favourite band?"
I'd prefer call him Fran, Dougie, Neil, or Andy...
or Neil Douglas Andrew Francis lol |

My husband had jokingly asked me when I was preggers if I wanted to name our son Travis. I would've totally done it but I know way too many Travis' and half are morons :) |

Not that I doubted you but this confirms you are from Texas. All too often Travis is the name of the biggest tool frat-bag around. |

I wouldn't call my boy Travis. Its a very rare name in England. To me, Travis is the name of my favourite band. Don't think I'd want my son to be a Travis. More likely I'd call him Fran. :) |
