Just got the new Angus and Julia Stone album. Have to say, thanks to Fran for introducing me to them 'cos it's an amazing album. Anyone else picked it up yet? I love the way the album is presented as well - it's case is like a children's book. Beautiful artwork. I hope that Ode to J. Smith doesn't come in a boring plastic case. :P
The Music Magazine seemed to rather like it too (link). |

I cannot find it anywhere here! It's not available on iTunes, and it's really expensive on amazon.com. Has the album not come out in the US yet?
I really do love their stuff, and I'm glad Fran introduced them!
Have you heard Angus Stone's cover of River? beautiful... |

No not heard that cover, but I'd imagine it's pretty special.
I got the CD today from HMV. £13, but worth it. Don't know about its release in USA...
I've just now been watching the DVD that comes with it too. Amazing films as well. And Julia Stone is hot. ;D All in all, they appear to be almost annoyingly perfect. |

Yeah quite a few songs were recorded in Fran's recording studio. And of course Julia's vocals ended up on Battleships too. :) |

Yeah, knew about Battleships. And what's Fran's recording studio? You mean a couple of mics in his house? Haha. :) |

Heh well its apparently a proper studio set up. Check out the 'About' section on the official site. A bit over half way down, they talk about it. http://www.angusandjuliastone.com/a_book_like_this/index.htm
