Early Sunday morning around 1:00 AM Duncan (my brother) and I were watching TV, and we heard a really loud crack of thunder. Extremely loud. We didn't think anything of it, but Yesterday we found out that a house down the street was struck by lightening and it continued to smolder for hours until it burst into flames around 7:00. There were fire trucks and news vans all over the place. I'll try to walk up the street and get some pictures for you guys later, the damage is pretty bad. The house is completely fucked.
News coverage there's a link to the news segment that they showed last night. |

That is close. We had a tornado touch down on Sunday in a suburb here in MN...only 5 miles east of where I live.
We just got hail damage from it...we're really lucky! |

Apparently the owners were out of town for memorial day weekend. And in the article it says that the wife is suffering from cancer. |

Scary thing, I have never had something like that (as a natural disaster) where I live. The worst thing was my neighbor beating his wife real hard and my dad had to jump the wall and enter the house by a window on the second floor to rescue her. My dad is my hero :-) |
