I was in the car and some awful Journey song came on the radio, which made me think of you (isn't that nice?), and I remembered in December you said your husband was getting you a Journey-related Christmas present. What was it? I believe you were hoping for a box full of Steve Perry? |

Hehe, each time I hear a Nickelback song, I think of AustinMommy. I'm so sorry! |

I'm going to ignore the adjective "awful" that somehow ended up in the same sentence as Journey and answer your question.
The answer, though, is quite disappointing. Christmas came and went and while I got some nice presents there wasn't anything Journey related or seemingly Journey inspired. When I asked him about it he didn't even remember being in the car and saying that, let alone remember what his idea was.
I was pretty bummed. So unfortunately we'll never know what inspiration Steve Perry brought that HE FORGOT. Feel free to shame him about this. |

I'm honored and horrified at the same time.
Speaking of Nickelcrap, this story will illustrate how stressed out and tired I am (just overloaded and busy with everything). I was in the car and a Nickelcrap song was on the radio for at least 30 seconds before I even realized I was listening to them and did my usual panic "change the station to ANYTHING" move.
I was horrified. It's usually less than 3 seconds exposure before I protect my ears. I'm really losing it. |

Well, your birthday is coming up. You still have a chance with a couple of well-timed reminders.
I meant awful, as in, um...full of awe. Yeah, that's the ticket.

Yeah but he doesn't even have a clue what his idea was.
I took out the (Barf!) when I quoted your post. Violet must have typed that really quickly and you just didn't notice. |

Honestly, listening to them is bad enough, but I can't even LOOK at Steve Perry. He really gives me the heebie-jeebies. Ick. |

Thanks Ric. Though to be clear: Brian is tolerant of Journey but doesn't share my deep devotion to them. |

I love Journey so much. I am very used to the teasing. Don't care. Love them still. |
