Google tells me it's St George's day today. So lets give some love to ol' Saint George, 'cos he's always forgotten, and he killed dragons or something, which makes him cool.
Respect to Saint George!

In the words of wikipedia: St. George is the patron saint of Aragon, Canada, Catalonia, China, England, Ethiopia, Georgia, Greece, Montenegro, Palestine, Portugal, Russia, and Serbia, as well as the cities of Amersfoort, Beirut, Ferrara, Freiburg, Genoa, Ljubljana, and Moscow, as well as a wide range of professions, organisations and disease sufferers.
But nobody really knows who he is. Saint Patrick gets all the fame. I bet George is dead jealous. |

I this this pretty much gets it right regarding the problem with St George's Day - nobody knows how to celebrate it. Maybe we're supposed to go out an kill a dragon. |

No wonder St George's Day is ignored in England... it's like automatic bad luck. |

Although the April showers seem to be keeping at bay today, so maybe that's a good sign. :)
Is there a saint of France? |

I don't think so cause my dad said something about bad weather on St George's day this week end.
If i recolllect what he said he also mentionned vineyards.
