What's the first line of Coming around?
I found a million of different versions like these searching the internet:
Mother see you coming around
Never see you coming around
Mothers see it coming around
Never see it coming around
Mothers see you coming around
The song is not part of a "regular" album so there's no booklet with the lyrics "approved from Travis" |

I've always thought it was Never see you coming around. :) Obvious to my ears... but maybe my ears are lying to me. |

In the Complete Chord Book, it is
Mothers see it coming around
which makes sense with the next line. It might be wrong though. |

I think I've heard/read Fran say that the song is about how mothers seem to see things coming before anyone else does, so I would vote for "Mothers see it coming around". |

It sounds like
Mother see it coming around
to me |

Sounds exactly like never see you coming around so if the lyrics are different, maybe he should have sung it again because to me it is soooo clearly never see you coming around. |

Just had a look at 11 lyrics sites. 9 say NEVER. 2 say MOTHERS. Travisography also says NEVER. But Fran knows it for sure. |

No maybe not. I'm just showing that the majority seem to think it is NEVER. But I don't know. :) |

It could be either - it does sound like Never, but you have to bear in mind the wee nuances of the Scottish accent :) |
