On November 3, 2005, The Coca-Cola Company announced that Vanilla Coke and its diet counterpart would be discontinued in the United Kingdom by early 2006. A day later it was announced that it would be phased out in North America by the end of 2005.
Coca-Cola introduced Black Cherry Vanilla Coke and Diet Black Cherry Vanilla Coke in North America in January 2006. The company said Vanilla Coke and Diet Vanilla Coke may be made available again in the future.[2]
"We are exploring ways to bring them back at another time, but right now Diet Black Cherry Vanilla Coke and Black Cherry Vanilla Coke are what consumers are telling us they want."[8] Vanilla Coke beverages were never discontinued in some markets such as Australia, France and Germany. |

| I have to say I'm kind of a Coke purist. Just Coca-Cola Classic for me, or Coca-Cola Classic no caffeine. The only time I ever had a flavored Coke that was any good was about 20 years ago in Chicago. My family was staying at a hotel and we ate at the restaurant there. The Coke had a very mild apple-cinnamon flavor. Very good. I tried to duplicate it at home with apple juice and cinnamon, but the cinnamon just floated on top; it wasn't the same at all. |

We don't have flavoured Coke here in Argentina. I think it wouldn't be a success in this country. We just have classic, Zero and Light.
Coca-cola once released a yerba mate flavoured Coke, because here we drink a lot of mate (although I never heard of it having caffeine), but it was so disgusting that I think it didn't even last three months. |

Once I tasted vainilla coke and i didn't like its taste, I think it was like a medicine...
then I tasted limon coke and I liked it more
but it wasn't a success here in Mexico
both disappeared. |

There used to be a Pepsi with a touch of lemon flavour in Argentina a long time ago. I really liked it... I can't remember its name though.
But it wasn't successful neither, after a year or two it was discontinued. |
